The Zambezi Portland Cement is running in a pathetic situation now. The assets have been disposed, the cash has been looted, the workers have been terminated and the production has come to a halt since December 2015. There is a very thin line between the factory being non-operative and shutting down.
According to present day report, there is nothing much left in the factory as the workers as well as the assets have been disposed off. The Italian Mafias have very cleverly took the path of corruption and have shifted the momentum to their side by not allowing the officials to remain neutral. Who can forget the horrendous mistake of arresting Dr. Rajan Mahtani in June 2015. Even the High Court regarded the same an ‘unfortunate’ event. There are evidence in abundance which shows how the Government has kept itself aloof from this matter and has allowed the Ventriglia family to carry on with their carnage.
This is not why Zambia was expecting, this is not what Late Michael Sata had dreamt of, this is not what Zambians wanted. All that was required is a peaceful nation with hard working men. A factory whose potential was to generate USD $ 5 million on a daily basis has been washed out and has been left deserted. There is not a single objection from the Government and there stands the lone soldier in form of Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Is this how Zambia is going to get glory? How on earth can the own natives to be left jobless while people from other country loot all the wealth? Is this the beginning of the end of Portland Cement Zambia?
While some conspirators would get rich with this event, but there will be thousands whose family will not find a meal and there would be hundreds of fathers, who would silently sob due to this event.
Conspirators, every single act is being recorded by the God, you may laugh today, but what will you answer to him on the judgement day?
