Let the truth be known to all. Dr. Mahtani and Finance Bank have once again been blamed for something that they haven’t done. Needless to say, the story has been covered, or rather say ‘scripted’ by none other than Zambia Reports. Time and over again, it has been seen that the paid media portal has been nonchalantly trying to blame Dr. Rajan Mahtani for all the misfortunes and return gets rewarded by the ‘Cartel gang’.
The phenomenon is not new. Decades have passed and still the Government has ignored this issue. This time around the debt recovery decision of BancABC has become a means to harass a respected businessman in Zambia. Let us take an insight into the actual story-
Lamasat takes loan from Finance Bank Zambia amounting to $ 10,00,000. The same was required to repaid in 60 instalments and subject to certain obligations that Lamasat agreed to abide. However, the repayment process continued to be hampered from the side of the borrower and hence, the management of BancABC was forced to make a call. Zambia Reports took advantage of this scenario and claimed that Lamasat was being ‘tricked’ by Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Moreover, Zambia Reports is also confident of the fact that Dr. Mahtani is silently operating Finance bank Zambia through the management of BancABC.
For a layman, it won’t be difficult to understand that Finance Bank of Zambia was handed over to BancABC in 2016 and since then Dr. Mahtani and Finance Bank have parted ways. Yet these foolish conspirators continue to blame both for any issues that takes place in the banking sector. Zambia Reports is the same news portal which had earlier claimed that Finsbury Investment’s name was mentioned in the Panama Papers. There is no limit of Zambia Reports’ stupidity and hunger for money.
