Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference are among the most anticipated business events in Zambia. The event is held annually in New York, where members from across Africa and the world participate. However, this year’s Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership event was held virtually to comply with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Several top businessmen and philanthropists participated in this event. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was one of the few businessmen invited to this event as an honorary speaker. Dr. Rajan Mahtani spoke about the significance of leadership in healthcare. Apart from Dr. Rajan Mahtani, the event further saw participation from other crucial members such as international business communities, political leaders, spiritual leaders, international investors, leaders and visionaries, entrepreneurs as well as media partners.
The Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership event was a successful conference with the inclusion of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards ceremony. The award ceremony is one of the most anticipated and celebrated business events in Zambia. It is also among the most valuable awards too. The awards are given by Forbes itself which is one of the top business magazines across the globe. The Forbes brand is known for its several global rankings and surveys and as such, the Forbes African awards too hold a critical value. At the same time, the selection process of the recipients is rigorous and transparent. The process comprises months of the verification process and background checks, followed by interviews and discussions with the potential candidates. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, apart from being selected as an honorary speaker in the event, was also selected as one of the Forbes awardees. Forbes recognized the contributions of Dr. Mahtani and conferred him with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021 for his contributions to the banking sector in Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been credited for redefining the banking sector of Zambia. Furthermore, Dr. Mahtani has also been recognized for his philanthropic and charitable achievements including Prison Fellowship Zambia and Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia.
