Dr. Rajan Mahtani via his company Finance Bank Zambia had launched an educational award in 2013. This award is named as Steven Malama Award and it is given every year to the best graduating student from the ZIALE (Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education). The best graduating student also clears Bar in his/her first attempt and this honourable award celebrates the passion and dedication of the student. The award for the year 2018-19 went to Emmanuel Bwalya Kaluba who expressed his gratitude towards Dr. Rajan Mahtani by penning his thoughts and sharing it with the Daily Mail.
