In the past few decades, many business houses have developed in Zambia. One of the notable personalities is Dr. Rajan Mahtani, who has successfully developed many businesses in Zambia. He considers this nation as his motherland and contributed in various forms such as charity, public institutions and donations to help improve the economic and social status of the nation and its people.
Even after that, there are few individuals and entities who are only bothered of their personal profits. These people will not be affected even if these activities result in destruction of livelihood for the common people. The citizens of Zambia are facing a similar threat for many decades now. Every time a business is established aiming towards helping the people of Zambia, there will be hundreds of conspirators either trying to make profit out of the business or trying to ruin the business. Finance Bank Zambia was established by Dr. Rajan Mahtani and was nurtured well to become one of the pioneers in banking and finance across Zambia. The bank has been known to help people in need and provide them with opportunities so that they can start their businesses, build homes, buy vehicles for transportation etc. However, this opportunity was snatched from the citizens when Finance Bank’s future became a question. In order to save itself, Finance Bank with support from Dr. Rajan Mahtani launched a case at the Supreme Court Zambia.
The result from the case is national news now. Finance Bank Zambia was given a clean chit and won the case easily. On the other hand, Simaata was accused of wrongful defamation and was penalized for his act.
