In an uttering sad event, it has been learnt that on July 15 2016, the mother of Dr. Rajan Mahtani has passed away. The news came as a shock to the whole nation and condolences from all corners of the world continue to be addressed to the Mahtani family.
Being a lady of high morals and principles, Mrs Mohnibhai believed in living a simple life and serving the society. She was very active in charity programs and served as a supporting pillar to the Chairman of Mahtani Group of Companies, Dr. Rajan Mahtani. During her lifetime, she was seen as a motherly figure and almost everyone in Zambia respected her. Her death means a huge loss to Zambia.
Nevertheless, the people of Zambia need to work on the dream which was seen by Mrs Mahtani. She always dreamt of a Zambia where equality and development went hand in hand. She had been an inspiration to thousands and motivated people to walk in the path of righteousness.
It is the rule of nature that people who are born will die one day. However, this should not stop them at any point of time to work for the betterment of the society. Mrs Mohnibhai Lekhraj Mahtani was a person who had lived her life to the fullest, served the purpose for which she was sent by God and now has left us with a motivated heart to work. Pedro, a local, shared his experience which he had when he met Mrs Mohnibhai Lekhraj Mahtani. He says, “Ma’am was like a mother to me. Whenever anybody needed help, she was quick to respond and ensured that the problem was solved. Always wearing a smile on face, she has been the motivating force for thousands of Zambians. Though she is no longer with us, her blessings will continue to guide us.”
